Reviewed in the United States on July 30, 2018 Verified Purchase I don't like being negative about anything Batman because I am a huge fan (except for the movie Batman & Robin but that is a story for another review) and I love the Gotham By Gaslight comic book, but this thing wasted an hour and eighteen minutes of my life that I will never get back. For those who think that the story from the comic book wouldn't have translated well I'm afraid I have to disagree on that, yes it would have. I can't use any spoilers but I can go to basics here, by comparison the book was way better because it contained the origin stories for both Batman and The Joker of this continuity, successfully established a connection to the Ripper's murder spree in London, serves as a sort of Batman: Year One - Victorian Edition in the parts about the budding partnership between Batman and James Gordon and was also a two-in-one of sorts as Batman's defeat of the Ripper doubled as revenge for his parents courtesy of Gordon.
